How to Get Started with Hush Using JitoSOL
If you hold JitoSOL, you can now make it private without giving up yield. Hush Protocol lets you shield JitoSOL, move it privately, and unshield to any wallet — all enforced by zero-knowledge proofs.

If you hold JitoSOL, you can now make it private without giving up yield. Hush Protocol is the privacy layer of Solana. It lets you shield JitoSOL, move it privately, and unshield to any wallet with no onchain link between those steps — all enforced by zero-knowledge proofs. No trust required.
Why This Matters for JitoSOL Holders
JitoSOL is yield-bearing. Solana is fast and composable. But public blockchains are transparent by default — your balances, transfers, and strategies are visible to anyone. Hush changes the equation. You no longer have to choose between yield, composability, and privacy. You can have all three. If you're staking, compounding, or deploying size, privacy is non-negotiable.
I'm a SOL Holder. What's the Flow to Get Shielded?
JitoSOL is liquid staking for Solana. You keep earning staking yield while staying fully composable across DeFi. Hush lets you add privacy to that yield. If you're holding SOL and not JitoSOL yet, here's the simple flow:
- Stake SOL into JitoSOL at jito.network/staking
- Go to the Hush app to shield JitoSOL
- Connect your wallet, select JitoSOL, and shield
If you already hold JitoSOL, you can skip straight to shielding.
Step 1: Shield Your JitoSOL
Go to the Hush app and connect your wallet. Select JitoSOL and choose the amount you want to shield. Sign the message and approve the transaction.
Once confirmed, your JitoSOL enters the shielded pool, the public link to your wallet is broken, and your balance is now private. From that point forward, there is no visible connection between your original address and what happens next.
Step 2: Transfer Privately
Inside Hush, you'll get a special Hush address tied to your account. You can send shielded JitoSOL to another one of your Hush addresses or a friend's Hush address. This transfer does not appear as a public movement between wallets on Solana. There's no address trail, no timing clues, no attribution. It's private by design.
Step 3: Unshield to a Fresh Wallet
When you're ready to go back public, choose a fresh wallet and unshield some or all of your JitoSOL. The withdrawal appears as a standard transfer, but there is no onchain link to where the funds originally came from.
Pro tip for the JitoSOL crowd: unshield to a new wallet, add a bit of SOL for gas, and deploy into Solana DeFi however you want.
